Zero to Ten with Beth Morrison
When we think about a healthy neighborhood, safe affordable housing is a huge part of that, but it’s not all somebody needs. Being able to partner with other organizations to meet the needs of the community in different ways, that’s just a powerful thing to be a part of.”
This is Beth Morrison, the executive director of Rebuilding Together Charlotte, a nonprofit dedicated to repairing homes to keep people in safe, affordable housing in the greater Charlotte area. Beth is doing some incredible work with the organization, but she’s also one of the kindest people you’ll ever meet. When Honeywell said they wanted to help fund a larger project through Rebuilding Together of Greater Charlotte that would impact more people and help a neighborhood, Beth wanted to spread the love. She tied in other nonprofits like DigiBridge, Pop Up Produce, and artist @dammit_wesley so that they’ll also benefit from the funding. On this week’s episode of Zero to Ten, Mary asked Beth about the project, the partnership with these other organizations and the collaborative spirit of Charlotte’s nonprofit community.
