Around hygge lately, we’ve been talking a lot about “finding your hygge.” Hygge is a Danish concept that means feeling comfortable and content, to the point where you feel well. You can’t truly be well without a community of people to encourage you, inspire you, and provide you support when you need it most. Fostering community wellness is one of the most important things you can do for your overall wellness.
That’s why we’ve partnered with Rebuilding Together of Greater Charlotte, a local nonprofit organization that is committed to community wellness, for hygge cares this month. It all starts with our volunteer day on October 5, when we will be volunteering alongside Rebuilding Together to make critical repairs to homes on Mortez Ave. in the Druid Hills neighborhood so families can continue to live in the community they love. You can learn more about that here.
We need your help to keep Charlotte’s communities well. Come volunteer with us. There is no construction or building experience required – all types of help are needed. You’ll get in a good workout, you’ll feel great at the end of the day emotionally and you’ll be actively helping keep a local community well.

hygge cares is our monthly initiative made easy by OrthoCarolina. Each month we focus on a different aspect of wellness and offer programming and events to our members and the Charlotte community. Learn more about hygge cares here.
