Her company is small – with 10 employees spread across the U.S. and just one coworker in Charlotte. But with her main client being a multinational tech company, she travels around the country & world to help manage environmental projects. Before that, she spent nearly three years as an environmental specialist at a Duke Energy nuclear power plant, so you could say she’s been around the block since graduating from Clemson in 2018.
Haley’s entrepreneurial journey was a pandemic-born vision that began when she decided she wanted some moss art to liven up her office. She couldn’t find many options at a smaller scale that were also affordable, so she decided to do it herself with the help of Nick, who is an experienced woodworker. After showing off their first creation on social media, they started getting inquiries for commissioned pieces, which led to the official launch of Mossick & Co.
Now, you can find their art online on Etsy as well as at local makers markets here in Charlotte and in our retail collective Lokal. You can also follow Mossick & Co. on Instagram for updates on new products, which include everything from charcuterie boards to wall art to coasters and more. Everything is made from the coolest natural materials, which show off Haley’s love for the environment and our planet.
